Embossers, seals, and hole punches

Rectangular hole punch When you order your permanent record paper from Lautzenhiser's, it will arrive prepunched to fit your minute book. Occasionally a customer will need to insert an original document into his minute book that is not prepunched. We sell a hand held single hole paper punch to accommodate that customer. This tool will punch approximately 5 sheets at a time, one hole at a time. It is designed to punch through paper only. We keep these in stock for quick delivery. Please call for pricing.

Embossers/seals Lautzenhiser's offers a complete line of official embossing seals. Styles range from simple hand held embossers to automatic electric embossers. Embossing seals can be made with text only or with your agency or company's logo. Our seals all have an engraved brass upper die and a Bakelite lower counter die. Our embossers are designed to emboss paper only and one sheet at a time. The depth of the impression from manual seals can be varied by how much pressure is applied to the handle. Electric automatic seals are preadjusted to a specific weight of paper. The customer can not readjust the automatic embosser. Never use any of our seals to emboss any kind of self-adhesive label or notary seal, plastic or Mylar sheet material.

Hand held embosser - the least expensive, is available in 1-3/4 inch and two inch diameter die sizes.

The hand held seal is for standard lightweight paper. This seal comes in its own leatherette pouch

Longer-reach desk seal - the desk seal rests on four rubber feet and is operated by pressing down on the handle while the tool is sitting on your desk. People who feel the hand held seal is uncomfortable to use will like this tool. It is designed to work with lightweight and heavier paper and has a 2-1/2 inch reach. It is available in 1-3/4 inch and two-inch diameter die sizes. There is a label holder on the front of the tool to identify the embosser.

Cast iron embossers - This is the "old school" device. We have sold only a few but have repaired many. Most of our customers have one of these old devices in their museums. They are usually very old, heavy, hard to operate, and get knocked off the desk frequently. Often the dies have come unglued and need to be remounted. Some times the hinge pin has broken or it is so rusted that it won't operate. Occasionally people will want to investigate refurbishing the old relic. You will need to contact us to arrange shipping to our repair facility at your expense and we will evaluate it. I am actually surprised how often we can actually get these working again. Even when these cast iron units are new, these seals are heavy, difficult to operate, and expensive. For those reasons I would recommend the Desk Seal (above.) However, if you really want one, we can help you. They are available in two mount sizes and an assortment of diameters. Please contact us for more information.

Automatic/electric embossers - are for the customer that needs to do repetitive embossing. We sell the Electraseal model D-1 that is activated by a push button switch on the front of the machine. We also offer the Electraseal model FP-1 that is activated with a foot pedal. This allows you to hold the document with two hands. Since this device always applies the same pressure to the embossing dies, we ask that you provide us a sample of the paper you will be embossing so we can properly calibrate it for your specific paper. The Electraseal is made in the USA and has a 12-month factory warranty. Please contact us for more information and pricing.
