Custom Sheet Protectors, Protective Mylar Pockets

Many customers have old records that are fragile and in danger of being destroyed. Often these fragile documents are ripping out of the bound book or the binder in which they are stored. We offer clear Mylar pockets to protect these old documents in both 4 mil. and 2 mil. Cemeteries have found these work well for extending the life of their original interment records. The pockets are larger in size than the documents to allow them to be safely inserted. Usually the document is inserted on the open binding edge of the pocket and the pocket itself is one to two inches longer than the original document. The pocket itself is hole punched so the document can float inside the pocket. Mylar pockets can be made in any size. Pricing varies with Mylar thickness, document size and quantity. New sectional post binders are then made to hold the new, larger sheet (Mylar pocket) size. Mylar pockets add weight and thickness, often requiring a minimum of twice as many binders as was previously used prior to using the Mylar pockets. Please call or email for more information.
